Claire Jacob's team at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz announced €1.1 million to improve the skin patch, manufacture it to pharmaceutical standards and prepare a first safety study in healthy volunteers.
The funding brings the patch closer to human testing, but the first study is not yet publicly registered and there is no evidence of benefit in people with MS.
