Tasos Fokas

I am Tasos Fokas, and I created MyelinWatch out of a personal need: to distinguish what we actually know about new treatments and research in multiple sclerosis (MS). Living with the condition myself, I know how easily an encouraging headline can inspire hope, but also confusion when context is missing.

I work as a producer of audiovisual content and collaborate with the Centre for Combating Disinformation. This experience has made me even more careful with sources and words. Automated tools help me find publications. Before information reaches MyelinWatch, I check the primary source, consider the context, and decide myself what is worth presenting and how.

I want people to find a clear path through the research here: what has been tested in people, what remains early, and what we still do not know. If MyelinWatch helps someone read a news story with more confidence and ask their doctor better questions, it will have achieved something meaningful.
